1.Get your kids involved in packing their lunches! <\/strong><\/p>\n

We usually set out a variety of lunch items (fruit, veggies, etc) and the kid picks what he wants in his lunch (from the items offered to him). This way, he cannot say that he didn\u2019t want a certain food item, because he was the one who picked it. Also, if he is choosing from what is offered, there is no risk of his choosing junk.<\/p>\n

2. Create a menu together. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gather your kids\u2019 favorite recipes and meals and make a binder together. If you want, you can even hop on Pinterest together and \u201cpin\u201d some fun kids\u2019 school lunches ideas. If kids are involved in making their lunches, they are more likely to want to eat their creations.<\/p>\n

3. Leftovers are your best friend. <\/strong><\/p>\n

If your kid absolutely loves shepherd\u2019s pie or lasagna, send them to school with that for lunch! Kids loves leftovers. In fact leftovers really make life easier!<\/p>\n

4. Practice \u201chalf your plate\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n

Set out a variety of fruits and vegetables and make sure your kids fill their lunchboxes with lots of fruits and veggies, all colors of the rainbow! IF you are giving your child a treat, a little treat is sufficient. After all, a treat is just that\u2026a treat! It\u2019s something you don\u2019t get every day.<\/p>\n

5. Use a lunchbox with containers, so all your child\u2019s food is presented in front of him\/her. Some of their friends got lunchbox like hers last year because their parents saw her lunches on social. One mom told me that her child was not eating all her lunch because she had so many containers to open and sometimes didn\u2019t even realize she had certain items because she did not notice them. Now that she uses a Lunchbox<\/a><\/strong>, she sees all of her food and knows what\u2019s in her lunchbox.<\/p>\n
