This is a light and easy pasta for quick dinner. It’s full of vibrant and delicious flavors. It’s definitely worthy of being added to your weeknight menu!

Tips for the Best Lemon Shrimp Pasta
Fresh or frozen shrimps?
The only thing that will slow down the process is the shrimps cleaning. See how to do it right. You can clean the 1 day ahead and marinade in white wine till you use them. Or if you have cleaned and frozen in the fridge – feel free to use it.
The best taste you will get with fresh shrimps, but you can use frozen – just be sure to unfroze ahead and pat dry before cooking.
Parmesan
Be sure to top the lemon shrimp pasta with Parmesan rather than tossing it into the pasta. When tossing Parmesan in the the angel hair, it quickly clumped together in little gummy balls. You do not want that!!!
The veggies
The best veggie for this Angel hair pasta with shrimps and asparagus is Asparagus. But you can use broccoli also. When buying asparagus, choose fresh and delicate one in the spring season. If you buy asparagus with hard stems, peel them.
You’ll need to cook the veggies first in a separate skillet and then toss them with the pasta and shrimp at the very end.

Pasta:
To keep pasta from sticking together when cooking, use a large pot with plenty of water. Add a little cooking oil if desired (this also prevents boiling over).
If you don’t have angel hair pasta, another long, thin pasta will work in this recipe (like spaghetti).
Variations:
- If you don’t like shrimp, you could make this recipe with chicken instead.
- Fresh herbs are a must here! Dried herbs won’t give you the same flavor or texture.
