Ingredients
- 300 g Macaroni
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup single cream
- 150 g Gruyère grated cheese
- 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
- 200 g cooked ham, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190 C. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil. Add the pasta and cook for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, beat the eggs in a jug with the milk, cream and half the Gruyère cheese. Grate in a little fresh nutmeg. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Drain the pasta and tip half of it into a buttered baking dish. Arrange half the strips of ham on top. Then follow with the remaining pasta. and ham. Pour the egg and cream mixture into the dish, stir to mix a little then sprinkle the remaining Gruyère and Parmesan over the top.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
