Cheese bread boats, made by kids

baguettes with eggs

This is a recipe for kids to make while you are busy and they want to help you with the dinner or lunchbox. This is also a good breakfast. Depends on how you are going to serve it. Add a salad or a soup and the dinner is ready. This is almost like a quiche but a quicker versions as it smells and tastes the same. It is so good, because:

  1. It is much faster to make.
  2. All you need is a baguette, eggs and milk – simple ingredients.
  3. There is so much crust (kids love it)! Brush the baguettes with melted butter to get extra crust with delicious flavor.
  4. They are freezer friendly once cooked. Wrap in foil and freeze. Once you need, jut pop it straight from the freezer into oven to reheat.
  5. Tones of variations: smoked salmon is very good; Italian filling with chopped bits of salami, olives and sun-dried tomatoes is really amazing one.
  6. This is a great recipe for scaling up and down. You can make it with longer baguettes and share it with friends.

This is a recipe for kids. We add it to the collection Kids in the kitchen, as we want them to by armed with quick ideas when we are out of home and help them for their University living away from home.

Enjoy!
