- Pastry dough:
- 3 3/4 all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 cup cold butter
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- Filling:
- 1,5 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup all-purpose floor
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 8 caps strawberry fresh or frozen
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 5 teaspoons heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Cut the butter until crumbly. Gradually add water, tossing with a fork until dough forms a ball. Spoon the filling over pastry. Roll out the second pies of dough. Place over filling. Seal and trim the edges. Cut slits in pastry.
- Divide the dough in two pieces. One of which is a bit bigger than the other. Wrap each in a plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Prepare the filling: in a bowl combine sugar, flour and salt. Add strawberries and lemon juice. Toss to coat.
- Preheat oven to 180 C / 375 F= Roll out the first piece of dough. Put it over a baking sheet in a tart pan 27 cm diameter. Press pastry onto the bottom and up the sides of a pan.
- Spoon the filling over pastry.
- Roll out the second pies of dough. Place over filling. Seal and trim the edges. Cut slits in pastry. Brush top with cream and sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Cut in to form you like.
