Soups and dishes prepared with celery increase the forces of the body to fight winter flues. The celery can be consumed in raw form, grated or chopped and mixed with grated apples and walnuts.

Always wash the root well with cold water, using a brush. Remove the upper part and peel off the rough surface.

The celery quickly browns when is peeled. To keep the fresh and nice white look, soak it with lemon juice or dip it in water with a lemon juice to keep the color fresh.

A favorite way to prepare a salad with celery is to cut the root into thin sticks and add a sauce of mayonnaise and mustard and serve it with bread toast or as a garnish for meat dishes.

In our proposal for a salad with celery we have included 2 products that radically transform its taste: milk sauce with capers and pomegranate seeds.

Capers are an excellent and important part of this extremely tasty and interesting salad.

Variations:

  • Add a grated apple and some roasted walnuts.
  • To make it rich and filling main course as part of the lunch in your Lunchbox, add some left-over baked chicken breast, cut into small cubes or 2 boiled and chopped eggs.
