Crackers with seeds and pine nuts – perfect for Christian fast days!
During the Christian fasting periods, the intake of dairy, meat and eggs is limited. We eat mostly legumes and whole grains. Planning and cooking lean foods requires more time, imagination, and meticulous organization. Often due to lack of time, bread becomes king of the table. With ease, you can eat 2-3 slices of bread with chutney to feed. Of course, soon after, you will be very hungry again, because saturation fiber and protein are absent from your menu.
