Homemade Graham Crackers

Graham Crackers

The Homemade Graham Crackers gives all we want: crispy texture, cinnamon flavor, golden brown color and are perfect for pie crusts, dessert sandwiches and great for dunking in the hot milk!

We are sharing our super simple recipe for this Classic and encourage you to make them as Graham cracker cookies are way better homemade.

Graham crackers are a whole wheat sweet cookie. They are called that because they’re made from Graham Flour. Graham flour is ground more coarsely. If you do not have at hand, use spelt flour.

The shape:

All you need is a ruler, a rolling pin, a knife, and a fork and cut squares or use cookie cutter you like. After rolling the dough to the desired thickness (roughly 0.5 cm), use a ruler and a knife to cut the dough into even squares. And using a fork just prick holes on top. This helps the cookies bake evenly and makes them easy to break in half and snack on once baked. Just a note: this is a very soft cookie dough so make sure your countertop is floured along with your rolling pin or roll it between two sheets of baking paper.

What desserts use graham crackers?

These sweet and lightly spiced cookies go well with fruity, creamy, and chocolatey desserts from Key Lime Pie to Ice Cream Sandwiches. Homemade Graham Crackers are the building blocks for many favorite treats!
