Simple Fresh Nectarine Pastry Tarts

Instructions

1. Lightly butter a large baking sheet. Reserve a small piece of dough enough to make borders around each rectangle, On a highly floured surface roll out the short-cut pastry to a large rectangle 40x25 cm and cut into 6 smaller rectangles. You can also make them in any other shapes. Be sure to make boarder.
2. Preheat the oven to 200 C.
3. Transfer to the baking sheet. Using the back of a small knife scallop the edges of the pastry and form a boarder with the reserved pastry. Put the rectangles in oven for 10-15 min.
4. Cut the nectarines in half, remove the stones, and then slice the fruit thinly. Arrange the nectarine slices down the center of the rectangles leaving the border uncovered. Sprinkle the fruit with sugar and little nutmeg if you like.
5. Bake for 12-15 min until the edges of pastry are golden brown and the fruit is tender. Transfer the tarts to a wire rack to cool slightly.
6. If you are using tartlets form, first set a baking sheet on the bottom of each. Butter slightly. Roll out the pastry to 5 mm, cut with 1 cm more than the diameter of small tart form.
7. Set over the forms and using your hands make a board. Put over each tart with dough baking sheet and fill with beans. Put in the 200 C preheated oven for 10-15. In this way you will keep the tart board.
8. Remove from oven and set away the beans and baking sheet. Set over the sliced nectarines, sprinkle over sugar and continue baking for 12-15 min.
