Valentine’s Day cake

Valentine's Day cake

Valentine’s cake is inspired by the Valentine’s Day. A day that asks for something sweet and a little plush gift. Valentine’s Day loves chocolate and in the Valentine’s cake it is in the cream. The chocolate is white chocolate, because it contrasts wonderfully with the romantic red layers. Of course  dark chocolate would also be a good choice.

Life is too short not to have a cake! It is good whenever we do it, to choose something delicious, done with love and precision, at best at home or in a good patisserie.

How to make a Valentine’s Cake:

It’s a very easy cake. It’s extremely simple and you don’t need any special tools and equipment to make it.

Start with the crusts: classic Joconde, but with added red paint for sweets, because Valentine’s Day loves the red color.

If you have a shape with a removable heart-shaped bottom, use it. If you do not have one cut out a heart-shaped pattern about 20 cm long.

Bake the crust in a 35x40cm tray. After baking the cake, leave to cool and cut out 2 crusts along the pattern.

The clippings that will remain, put in the chopper and make crumbs. You’il sprinkle the cake with them.

Make the cream: In a water bath, melt 200g of white chocolate together with 30ml of fashion.

Beat 120g egg whites on snow, add a teaspoon of lemon juice and 3 tbsp sugar. Let the mixer work until shiny snow.

In another bowl with a mixer beat the cream cheese, add the melted chocolate and continue with the mixer until homogeneous. Gradually add the egg whites to the cream cheese with a spatula. You already have ready air, chocolate cream made in 5 minutes.

Assemble the cake by alternating cake, cream, cake, cream. Sprinkle on top the crumbs you made earlier and your cake is ready to go into the fridge for at least 4 hours.

We sincerely hope you like our Valentine!
