Marzipan is a confection consisting primarily of sugar, honey, and almond meal, sometimes augmented with almond oil or extract. It is often made into sweets; common uses are chocolate-covered marzipan and small marzipan imitations of fruits and vegetables.
Beautiful and very easy these marshmallows are formed from homemade marzipan, which is left over from the almond paste we used for plum tarте.
We just added a teaspoon of beetroot juice and got these attractive almond candies.
You can store them in the fridge for a long time and use them either as a filling for the buns during the week or as a little temptation in the Lunchbox.
