Opera cake – a fabulous beauty created by the talented French chef Cyriaque Gavillon. This great pastry creator wanted to make a cake that could be eaten in one bite while releasing a balanced flavour. He finally came up with a beautiful cake composed of 3 layers of sponge cake steeped in syrup, topped with butter cream and chocolate ganache.

To make the cake you need to prepare the main components and then assemble them. These few components are:

3. French Buttercream

4. Sugar syrup

5. Chocolate icing

The beauty of this cake is that you can prepare it in advance from 1 day before the planned or freeze it for a longer time in the freezer. You will finish it on the day you need it. That is why this cake is one of our favourite when there are big gatherings to share good moments and holidays with family and friends.
