You’ll have it on the table faster than ordering home delivery, it’s healthier and it’s versatile so you can add or switch the vegetables as you please. The best part is how you can adapt the recipe to your taste by using vegetables of choice!

The secret ingredient is Chinese Cooking Wine, also known as Shaoxing wine or Shaosing wine. It is very cheap and you will find it in Supermarkets. It is salty and unpleasant to drink, but is great for cooking, It completely transforms the meals. Substitute with sherry or chicken broth for the water in the sauce.

Ingredients in Cashew Chicken Sauce

The sauce contains sesame oil, cornflour, chinese wine, oyster sauce and soy sauce.

We use chicken breast, that should be tenderize, using Chinese technique with baking soda. It’s super simple. Use fingers to coat chopped chicken with 1.5 tsp baking soda, set aside for 20 minutes. Rinse well, dry out excess water using paper towels.

Use green peppers and onion, but try also with – red peppers, celery, bok choy, spinach, broccoli, carrots and shallots.
